Today I would like to talk about my beloved college.

It is Kolej Yayasan UEM, situated in Lembah Beringin, around 70 km from Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. The college offers Cambridge International A-Level programme for 24 months and the enrolment is on July/August every year. (In the past there was a January intake for an 18-month programme but starting from next year, there will be no such intake). Since the cost is quite high (RM86k/24 months), therefore most of the students are sponsored (60-70%) while others are private students/self-sponsored.

SUBJECTS OFFERED
Students can choose 3 to 4 subjects combination for A Levels. The subjects offered are:
- Accounting
- Economics
- History
- English Literature
- Mathematics
- Further Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Psychology
- Marine Science
Also students need to take English IELTS test for university admissions as well as Malaysian compulsory subjects which are:
- Malaysian Studies
- Islamic Studies
- Malay Language - for O-Level candidates
Students are also grouped according to sport houses; Garnet, Diamond, Topaz and Sapphire. Almost all activities in KYUEM are interhouse activities; therefore the house spirit is quite high.
